It's Go By Bike Week Kelowna!

go-by-bike-week-kelowna-2025

GoByBike Week 2025 is in full swing across Kelowna and the Central Okanagan from May 31 to June 6, and the city is buzzing with two-wheeled energy. This annual event celebrates cycling as a fun, healthy, and eco-friendly way to get around, while offering exciting community events, prizes, and a chance to connect with fellow riders.

What Is GoByBike Week?

GoByBike Week is a province-wide initiative encouraging British Columbians to swap four wheels for two—whether commuting, running errands, or exploring the outdoors. In Kelowna, the event is supported by the City of Kelowna, Westbank First Nation, and other regional partners. This year, over 1,200 riders have already logged nearly 9,000 kilometers, saving nearly 2,000 kg of greenhouse gas emissions

Join us at a Celebration Station

Throughout the week, Celebration Stations are set up across the city, offering free snacks, giveaways, and a chance to connect with fellow riders. Here's the schedule:

  • Monday, June 2, 7–9 a.m.: Kickoff event at Waterfront Park (330 Meikle Avenue)
  • Tuesday, June 3, 7–9 a.m.: Mission Creek Greenway Regional Park (Leckie & Springfield)
  • Wednesday, June 4, 7–10 a.m.: Orchard Park Shopping Centre
  • Thursday, June 5, 7–9 a.m.: Salvation Army Parking Lot (Burtch & Sutherland)
  • Friday, June 6, 4–6 p.m.: Wrap-up event at Railside Brewing (1186 High Rd)

These stations are great spots to grab refreshments, enter prize draws, and celebrate the cycling community .

This Week is the Perfect Weather for Riding

The forecast for Kelowna this week is ideal for cycling, with sunny skies and temperatures ranging from 71°F (22°C) to 83°F (28°C). It's the perfect time to enjoy the city's expanding network of bike lanes and trails.
